1. Introduction

Mobile Diesel USA ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at https://mobiledieselusa.com and the Mobile Diesel USA mobile diesel repair dispatch platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you request service, apply as a mechanic, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Name and contact information (phone number, email address)
  • Business name and DOT/MC numbers (for fleet accounts)
  • Vehicle information (make, model, year, VIN)
  • Location data (service address, GPS coordinates for dispatch)
  • Professional credentials and certifications (for mechanics)
  • Payment information (processed securely by third-party providers)

Automatically Collected Information

  • Browser type, operating system, and device information
  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Pages visited, time spent, and referral sources
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

If you send a request through an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, what we receive is described in Section 5.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Match truck drivers with qualified mobile diesel mechanics
  • Process service requests and dispatch mechanics to your location
  • Communicate about your service request, account, or application
  • Verify mechanic credentials, insurance, and background checks
  • Improve our platform, services, and user experience
  • Send service updates, promotions, and platform announcements (with your consent)
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

4. Third-Party Services

We share information with trusted third parties that help us operate:

  • Formspree — processes form submissions from our service request and mechanic application forms
  • Google Analytics — collects anonymized website usage data to help us improve our site
  • Vercel — hosts our website and processes web traffic
  • Payment Processors — securely handle payment transactions (we never store your full payment details)
  • Supabase — stores service requests, including requests that arrive through an AI assistant
  • Resend — sends email alerts about new requests to our dispatch team
  • Twilio — delivers text messages about your request, only if you agree to be texted
  • Our dispatchers and independent mechanics — receive the details of your request so they can contact you and do the work

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. AI Assistants (ChatGPT and Similar)

You can use an AI assistant, such as ChatGPT, to check whether we serve your location, send a repair request to our dispatch team, check the status of a request, or cancel one. This section explains what happens to your information when you do.

What we receive

Only what the assistant sends us for that request:

  • Your phone number
  • Where the truck is: city, state, and a description of the spot (not GPS coordinates)
  • What is wrong with the truck, and how urgent it is
  • Whether dispatch may call and text you, or call only
  • Anything else you choose to share, such as your name, email address, truck details, or a fleet name

We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your account details with the assistant's provider. We never ask for a payment card, a password, or a government ID through an assistant.

How we use it

We use it to send your request to our dispatch team, who contact you in the way you chose to confirm the location and availability before a mechanic is assigned; to show you the status of the request; and to keep a record of it. We note that a request came through an AI assistant so we know which channel it came from. We use your phone number only to contact you about that request. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

How long we keep it

A request that arrives through an AI assistant is kept like any other service request (see Section 8).

The assistant's provider

The company that provides the assistant, for example OpenAI for ChatGPT, handles your conversation under its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. Review them before you share personal details with any assistant.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Remember your preferences and settings
  • Analyze website traffic and usage patterns
  • Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some website functionality.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure form processing, and restricted access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Service request data and mechanic records may be retained for regulatory compliance purposes. Service request records are typically kept for up to seven years to meet tax and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete or anonymize your contact details sooner (see Section 9). We keep only the records we must, such as job and payment records and text-message opt-out records.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at help@mobiledieselusa.com. If your request came through an AI assistant, include the request number or the phone number you used so we can find it.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy
